Born and raised near Pompeii, Italy, Dr. Palmieri first studied as a dental lab technician in Naples. By the age of 20, he had gained eight years of experience making dentures. He came to the United States in 1990 to marry his American girlfriend and pursue a career in dentistry. After learning English, Dr. Palmieri went on to become an honor student at the University of California, Los Angeles before transferring. In Philadelphia, he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Temple University and graduated at the top of his class in 1998.
